The 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup schedule is released, giving fans the full map of where teams will play next summer.
FIFA unveiled a schedule of 104 matches across 16 host cities in three countries: 11 U.S. cities, three in Mexico and two in Canada. Seventy-eight matches will be in the United States, including all games from the quarterfinals onward; Canada and Mexico will each host 13 matches.
U.S. host cities: Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, New York/New Jersey, Philadelphia, San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle.
The final is set for 3 p.m. EDT on July 19, 2026, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey — a kickoff chosen to suit European prime time (9 p.m. CEST, 8 p.m. in Britain).
FIFA conducted the schedule and site selection while balancing travel and broadcast considerations across the tournament’s large footprint. “Let’s just say it’s been a long night — or a short night,” chief tournament officer Manolo Zubiria said, noting the need to balance preparation and recovery across three countries, different climates and time zones.
Six of the 48 tournament spots remain to be decided via playoffs, but the groups and most fixtures are set.
What is Team USA’s schedule?
The United States is in Group D alongside Paraguay, Australia and the winner of UEFA playoff C (the playoff contenders: Turkey, Romania, Slovakia and Kosovo; those playoff matches will be held in March 2026).
