Overview
The 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy are underway, with competitions running through the closing ceremony on Feb. 22. The Paralympic Winter Games follow March 6–15. U.S. viewers: Italy is six hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time and nine hours ahead of Pacific Standard Time, so plan accordingly.

Ceremonies
– Opening ceremony: Feb. 6 at Milano San Siro Olympic Stadium, with performances by Mariah Carey, Laura Pausini and Andrea Bocelli. Additional events took place around Milan and athlete parades were held in Predazzo, Livigno and Cortina d’Ampezzo. The Parade of Nations and cauldron lighting were central features.
– Closing ceremony: Feb. 22 at the Verona Arena.
Figure skating schedule
Figure skating began Feb. 6 and runs daily through Feb. 11. After a break on Feb. 12, events resume on Feb. 13, then continue on Feb. 15, 16, 17 and 19.
Snowboarding schedule
Snowboarding started Feb. 5 and is scheduled for Feb. 7–9, 11–13 and 15–18, with qualifying rounds and finals across men’s and women’s disciplines.
