President Trump announced Monday via social media that he will allow Nvidia to sell its advanced H200 AI chips to “approved customers” in China and other countries. He said the approval applies only to Nvidia’s H200 products and does not include the company’s more advanced Blackwell system or its soon‑to‑be‑released Rubin system.
Trump wrote that “25% will be paid to the USA.” He also said he informed Chinese President Xi Jinping of the move and that Xi “responded positively.”
