Rory McIlroy captured his second straight green jacket, edging Scottie Scheffler by one stroke to win the Masters. Defending champion McIlroy, who carried a record lead into Saturday, faced late drama — falling behind twice, to playing partner Cameron Young and to Justin Rose — before a strong back nine, including birdies at 12 and 13, gave him the margin he needed. He held on at 18 to secure his sixth major, becoming the first player since Tiger Woods (2001–02) to win consecutive Masters and only the fourth ever to do so, joining Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods and Nick Faldo.
