Satellite imagery captured Sunday and Monday by Vantor documents the aftermath of U.S.-Israeli airstrikes on multiple locations inside Iran. U.S. Central Command said the U.S. struck more than 1,250 targets during the first two days of Operation Epic Fury, describing the campaign as focused on facilities and personnel that posed an imminent threat and on degrading Iran’s security infrastructure.
The Vantor images depict damage at several sites, including the Choqa Balk-e drone facility, the compound formerly used by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Natanz nuclear complex and a radar installation at Zahedan airbase.
Khamenei compound
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in one of the initial strikes, U.S. officials say, along with about 40 other senior Iranian figures. U.S. intelligence, including CIA tracking of Khamenei’s movements, had identified a Saturday morning meeting at a Tehran compound and shared that information with Israeli partners. Vantor satellite photos show the compound on Feb. 1, 2026, and the same site after the strikes on March 1, 2026, illustrating extensive destruction.
Natanz nuclear facility
Images from March 1–2, 2026, show new damage at the Natanz enrichment site, which was previously hit by separate Israeli and U.S. strikes in June 2025. Former President Donald Trump said those earlier attacks “obliterated” three nuclear sites and set Iran’s program back “basically decades,” while Iranian officials have maintained the program’s technological expertise and resolve remain intact. Late-January satellite photos indicated roofs had been added over previously damaged Natanz buildings, a move analysts said could represent efforts to salvage equipment and materials; the March imagery shows fresh damage at the complex.
Choqa Balk-e drone facility
The Choqa Balk-e site in western Iran, linked to the production and support of Shahed-136 “kamikaze” drones, appears in Vantor imagery from Feb. 27 and again on March 2, 2026. The later images show buildings and equipment destroyed or heavily damaged following the strikes.
Zahedan airbase radar system
Zahedan airbase, near Iran’s eastern borders with Pakistan and Afghanistan, had a radar installation visible in images from Feb. 26, 2026. Satellite photos taken March 1, 2026, show the radar site in ruins after the strikes.
