Trump permits Nvidia H200 sales to China

President Trump announced on social media Monday that he will permit Nvidia to sell its H200 AI chips to approved customers in China and other countries. He said the authorization applies only to the H200 products and expressly excludes Nvidia’s more advanced Blackwell system and its forthcoming Rubin system. In the post he wrote, “25% will be paid to the USA.” He also said he informed Chinese President Xi Jinping, who “responded positively.”
