Authorities have confirmed that 14-year-old JaIanna Duncan has been located, bringing relief to her family and the Plain Township community after an urgent search in Stark County, Ohio.
JaIanna was reported missing on March 2, 2026. The Stark County Sheriff’s Office said she was last seen at about 2:00 p.m. at GlenOak High School, 1801 Schneider Street NE. Witnesses reported seeing her board a school bus, but officials initially did not know where she got off.
Local law enforcement and community members acted quickly to circulate information. A Voice For The Voiceless, Inc., a Plain Township nonprofit, posted an urgent alert asking the public to share JaIanna’s description and help locate her, stressing that time was critical for her family.
At the time she was reported missing, JaIanna was described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, about 150 pounds, with dark brown hair in two ponytails and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black puffer jacket, a tan T-shirt, black leggings, and red-and-white Adidas tennis shoes.
Both the sheriff’s office and community advocates urged anyone with information to contact authorities. The public quickly amplified the alert across social media. Officials have since confirmed JaIanna has been found; no additional details have been released.
