Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said the Justice Department has stepped up efforts, building on work from the Trump administration, to revoke the citizenship of certain foreign-born Americans accused of obtaining naturalization through fraud. Speaking with CBS News immigration correspondent Camilo Montoya-Galvez, Blanche said, “There are a lot of individuals who are citizens who shouldn’t be.” He said the department has pursued denaturalization cases targeting people alleged to have lied or concealed material facts during the naturalization process.
