Record-setting wildfires in Georgia have entered their second week, continuing to burn and threaten communities across the state. Local fire crews remain stretched thin, and reinforcements — firefighters and equipment from around the United States — are arriving to bolster the response. The additional teams are helping build containment lines, assist with evacuations and protect homes and infrastructure as crews work against dry conditions and shifting winds. State and federal officials say the scale of the fires is unprecedented in recent memory and that mutual aid agreements are coordinating the nationwide support. Skyler Henry reports on the ongoing efforts and the influx of out-of-state resources.
