About Us

Who we are, what we cover, and the standards we hold ourselves to.

Kaigo News is an independent digital news publication covering the stories that shape the United States and the wider world. We publish throughout the day across politics, international affairs, crime and justice, business, health, science, sport and culture, with the aim of giving readers a clear, accurate account of what happened and why it matters.

What we cover

Our coverage is organized into ten sections. World News follows conflicts, diplomacy and developments from the Middle East, Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Americas and Africa. U.S. News covers national events, severe weather, immigration, education and defense. Politics follows the White House, Congress, elections and the courts. Alongside these, Crime & Justice, Business, Health, Science & Tech, Sports, Entertainment and Lifestyle round out a daily picture of the news.

Our approach

We believe readers are best served by reporting that is concise, factual and free of sensationalism. Our stories are written to inform rather than to provoke: we separate what is known from what is alleged, attribute claims to the people and institutions that make them, and avoid presenting opinion as fact.

Much of our coverage summarizes and contextualizes reporting from public sources, including official statements, court records, government data, broadcast reports and established news organizations. Where a story relies on another outlet's reporting, we aim to make that clear in the text.

Independence

Kaigo News is editorially independent. Our coverage decisions are not influenced by advertisers, sponsors, political parties or any other outside interest. Any sponsored or commercial content, should we ever publish it, will be clearly labeled as such.

Accuracy and corrections

We work hard to get things right, and we correct our mistakes openly. If you believe something we have published is inaccurate, please tell us. Our approach to accuracy, sourcing and corrections is set out in full in our Editorial Policy.
