A pair of Granitestone Diamond Pro Blue Stainless sauté pans sold nationwide at Costco, Walmart.com, Amazon.com and other retailers has been recalled after reports that the metal cap on the handle heated and “forcefully ejected.” E Mishan, the manufacturer, said it received at least 98 incident reports, including one consumer who sustained bruising and burn injuries.
Approximately 740,000 units may be affected. The pans were sold as a 2-piece set (one 10-inch pan and one 11.5-inch pan). The UPC is 0-80313-08131-6.
“Consumers should stop using the recalled sauté pans immediately and contact E Mishan for a full refund,” the company said in a notice posted on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website.
